Achieving Commercial and Social Impact: the Power of Partnerships
Commercial and social impact do not have to be mutually exclusive. From joining Social Value to updating core operations, businesses around the world are repositioning their purpose to incorporate sustainability and social impact.
This shift is, in part, a response to the recognised risk of inaction. In addition to this, research suggests that a company’s sustainability and social impact is a deciding factor for 53% of the UK’s workforce when considering where to work. This is only likely to increase over time.
What’s more, social impact is not the only by-product of partnerships between corporates and social enterprises. Access to innovation, competitive advantage and reduction in supply chain risk are just some of the outcomes that can be enjoyed when these partnerships flourish correctly.
