FuckUp Nights: Conversations about failures and other things

Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

LESSONS FROM ENTREPRENEURS WHO’VE FAILED AND SURVIVED

FuckUp Nights is a global movement where stories of failed businesses and projects are told, questioned and celebrated now launching in London bi-monthly! In each FuckUp Night 3 or 4 fuckupreneurs share their stories of failure including:
  • What was their project?
  • What did they do wrong?
  • What did they learn?
  • What would they do differently?

At the end of each story the audience asks questions. All accompanied by beer and good friends.
We’ve finalised the speakers and they will be announced soon, if you’d like to speak or know someone who might like to at the next event please email with details.

The Speakers

Annik Rau

Annik has more than 30 years of experience in being scared of public speaking. She is the Founder of PONY Express – a speaker & pitch training company for entrepreneurs and those in business ready to show their nerves the middle finger – playing BIG is everything. The name PONY Express is based on the 1860s American Pony Express mail delivery service where young pony riders like Buffalo Bill risk their lives delivering a message – along the lines of ‘Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway!’.

Jude Claybourne
Jude is a coach, facilitator, actor and improviser. She is the founder of State of Play, a consultancy that uses techniques from the performer’s toolbox to improve communication and delivers and public speaking and personal impact training to groups across Europe.
Jackie Paige

My name is Jackie Paige and I have been running my company, Xpert Business Development, for the last 7 years. I help clients solve what can sometimes be the all-consuming problem of winning new business, by getting them in front of decision makers who are looking to buy their products or service.
Before starting the company I worked as a journalist for some 20 years, specialising in areas such as personal finance, environmental legislation, health. I successfully incorporated proven reporting and research techniques into the business development mix, resulting in hugely successful campaigns for clients.
