At this meetup we’ll hear stories of collaboration from two guests, including Clare Sutcliffe, founder of Code Club. You’ll hear their stories, learn new techniques, and start to put them into practice.

About the collaboration workshop

You want your work to be bigger than yourself which means leaving your comfort zone and sharing control. Although collaboration is difficult you’ll find it easier with practice. This monthly workshop connects you to people, encourages you to practise collaboration, and inspires your creativity.

• Learn from guest speakers about what works and what doesn’t.

• Practise techniques and learn skills in a safe space.

• Share your ideas with peers.

The Collaboration Workshop is organised by Impact Hub King’s Cross and #dareconf—people skills for digital workers.

Register now by choosing “RSVP”. Tickets £10 (Impact Hub members: two drinks are included).

Helping kids learn to code: Clare Sutcliffe, co-founder of Code Club

Clare Sutcliffe is co-founder of Code Club, a nationwide network of after-school coding clubs for children aged 9-11. Code Club creates projects for volunteers to teach children how to program by showing them how to make computer games, animations and websites.

Tonight Clare will share the story of Code Club, explain how a complex collaboration like this came about, and offer us tips and tricks for starting our own collaborations.
