The Role
The Site Manager will be pivotal in creating seamless and memorable events at Impact Hub London. You will be responsible for efficiently setting up and managing the event space, ensuring compliance with regulations and alcohol licensing, and managing casual events staff. We seek a dynamic individual with strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks effortlessly. You will collaborate closely with the Events Manager and Events Coordinator, driving the success of our events and making a meaningful impact on our community. This role requires flexibility as the schedule of events varies. It would be ideal for someone who enjoys flexible working hours and is willing to respond to our customers’ demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Space Setup and Maintenance:
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring they are ready for use.
- Ensure the event space is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate with event coordinators and clients to understand specific event requirements.
Compliance:
- Ensure that all events comply with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
- Address any compliance issues promptly and effectively.
- Support the Community Manager to implement Impact Hub London Euston building rules and regulations.
Casual Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage casual staff for event setup and support.
- Create and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage for events.
- Conduct reviews and provide feedback to events staff.
Client Interaction and Support:
- Act as a point of contact for clients during event setup and throughout the event.
- Address any client issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and positive feedback.
Logistics and Operations:
- Track inventory and work with colleagues to ensure the procurement of supplies needed for events.
- Oversee the logistical aspects of event setup, including furniture arrangement, AV equipment setup and catering logistics.
- In quiet moments help the team with sales enquiries.
General Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of events, staff schedules and compliance checks.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting for event-related expenses.
- Collaborate with the events team to improve processes and enhance event delivery
Essential skills
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in event management, facility management, or a related field.
- Strong customer service skills and experience.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and other relevant software.

Terms and Conditions
Working hours:
Normal working hours are 37.5 per week (excluding breaks). Occasional weekend working and flexibility may be required with time off in lieu or overtime. We are happy to consider qualified candidates interested in working flexible hours or as a job share.
Annual Leave:
25 days per annum plus national bank holidays.
Location:
Impact Hub London Euston, 1 Triton Square, NW1 3BF.
Contract:
Permanent with a 3-month probation period.
The starting salary is £29,000 per annum full time depending on experience, plus pension, medical cash plan, profit share and training budget.
