Original art by all ages and experience, inspired by movement and performance makes it’s way to King’s Cross

Move exhibition celebrates all art forms by aspiring and professional artists alike who have worked together, united by a common theme, to create new art. Their work includes lively drawings, paintings, collage, prints, cartoons and sculptures based on their observations of theatre, dance and music. For the coming months, Impact Hub King’s Cross is delighted to host a small selection of paintings and sculptures from the Move collection.

The inaugural Move exhibition opened to the public in 2014 during a London fringe festival, and the body of work is now on tour. In the making of Move, ages 4 to 83 have enjoyed around 130 places across approximately 95 hours of art workshops spent with 10 professional artists who they otherwise wouldn’t have worked and therefore gain new experiences, influences and networks. Hosted by charities, social enterprise, schools and community arts venues, Move creates opportunities for self-expression by all, regardless of their previous experience. Deadlines created by exhibitions and events add a practical, learn-by-doing dimension with an emphasis on concept development, progress, completion and achievement for all levels of talent.
