Next Steps Programme

Crisis UK and Impact Hub King’s Cross have joined forces to create a programme that supports Crisis members to launch a business. Next Steps offers start-up funding for potential businesses and gives access to educational workshops and mentoring that will help them to succeed. Over the nine-month programme, members will be supported to develop and launch their ideas with the expert knowledge and resources offered by the Impact Hub King’s Cross.

Crisis UK is a national charity supporting people who have experienced homelessness. Crisis offers one to one support, advice and courses for homeless people in 12 areas across England, Scotland and Wales. How they help someone depends on their individual needs and situation. It could be with finding a home and settling in, getting new skills and finding a job, or help with their health and wellbeing. Together with homeless people and Crisis supporters, they campaign for the changes needed to end homelessness for good.

Throughout this programme, Crisis will offer the participants a business/employment coach to support them, and a chance to apply for a startup grant through the Changing Lives Fund. Impact Hub King’s Cross will be offering a dedicated business mentor, and bespoke business workshops to help them build their businesses.

New Programme to Support Entrepreneurs

At Impact Hub King’s Cross we have been working hard to support our 380+ members through these challenging times, engaging them through our Community App, global network and business support programmes. We are seeing positive results already and we now want to do more to support the social enterprise sector!

We believe entrepreneurship is for everybody, which is why we’re excited to help Crisis members build their businesses over this 9-months programme, and show that anybody can be an entrepreneur and business owner.
