Richard was one of the founding investors at Impact Hub Kings Cross and has served as a director since 2011. He has also chaired the board of the global Impact Hub Association. Prior to discovering social enterprise, he worked for 20+ years in the FMCG/drinks industry with P&G, Whitbread, and InBev, initially in UK brand management and latterly in global marketing, strategy and general management. He ALSO has been co-founder and partner in a couple of other social businesses and is also the chair of trustees at a London based children’s education charity.
Dr. Mike Thompson is co-founder and director of Impact Hub Kings Cross, GoodBrand and GLO – Good Leaders Online, Shanghai. Mike was formerly Professor of Management Practice at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and now visiting professor teaching responsible leadership and governance. He has worked with entrepreneurs all his life including The Entertainer toyshops. Mike has contributed to several books on wise leadership, spirituality and sustainability including Wise Management in Organisational Complexity and Suited Monk Leadership.
Dermot is a co-founder of Impact Hub Kings Cross and Cork St Studios in Dublin, a vibrant community of start-ups, and freelancers from the tech and creative industries. Dermot co-founded the design practice Studio TILT in 2010 and as MD developed the practice into an award winning and recognised global leader in the design of coworking spaces and collaborative work environments. Dermot has written articles on social and creative businesses for numerous publications, including The Guardian.
