What partners say...

Our Focus
Where inclusion meets climate
Inclusion

We address who’s missing at the table in the sustainable entrepreneurship space. From engaging underrepresented groups to celebrating diversity, we can accelerate equity together.

Climate

We’re stepping forward to tackle the climate crisis. From supporting circular economies to connecting sustainably-driven entrepreneurs, we can accelerate net-zero together.

The world is facing complex challenges that can’t be tackled in isolation. That’s why we approach entrepreneurship challenges in intersection.

Who we've supported

Female Founders

Our approach means we attract a large number of women to our programmes, with up to 87% in New Roots and 60% in Feeding the City Start Up.

Migrants and Refugees

They formed the first cohort of New Roots, powered by GoDaddy, to develop their entrepreneurial abilities, networks and integration. Many have been supported in later cohorts.

Black, Asian, Mixed and minority ethnic groups

Since 2020, New Roots has supported aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs from diverse ethnic groups to develop their ideas.

People with low income and education

The Circular Start Up has targetted aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved and underrepresented backgrounds, including those from a low income and with non-tertiary education.

Young people

Launched in 2021, our Step Forward supported 18-25-year-old women with early-stage business ideas. In 2019 we also ran a sustainability challenge for research students.

People who have experienced homelessness

In 2020 we partnered with the homelessness charity Crisis to run Next Steps, which offers its members start-up funding, mentoring and workshops.

Stories of collaboration

BANK OF AMERICA

Bank of America powers our Feeding the City programmes, which have supported 300+ participants to start and grow 30+ ethical food businesses.

We have been collaborating with Impact Hub since 2018 – supporting its launch in the UK and its expansion to Germany this year. Along with funding, our employees have been involved in the selection of enterprises and mentoring entrepreneurs, helping them to develop viable, sustainable solutions to tackle our current, unsustainable food chain. We look forward to our continued partnership and driving further progress in this space.

CRISIS UK

We partnered with Crisis UK to deliver a programme supporting people from homeless backgrounds to launch a business. Next Steps provided start-up funding for potential businesses, alongside educational workshops and mentoring. Over 9 months, participants were supported to develop and launch their ideas with expert knowledge and resources offered by Impact Hub King’s Cross.

Just want to thank the team for opening up this workshop, which in my view is very important and very encouraging for us people who have their hearts set to obtain a dream. Thank you all so very much.
